Who was it I was chasing around the Pirbright bends then? :D

You must have some decent mods there, it was shifting better than I expected and the handling looked top-notch too :)

Saw the FiatForum window sticker... personalised H5 plate

What's GSR? ...don't know anything about Cinqs :)
I can imagine they'd handle like go-karts when lowered.
What bhp is he pulling?

Edit:
Just saw your reply Mase... stripped too eh, according to Parkers the sporting is 735kg standard, so it must be seriously light when stripped?! Does he know his bhp per tonne?

GSR is a brand of induction kit....

the sporting comes in at 54bhp as standard.

so i would say alex's is easily 65bhp, maybe even closer to 70bhp.

and when u factor in the 735kg weight... your lookin at at least 120-125 bhp per tonne based on his figures, but that is a rough guesstimate :D

then u factor in strutbrace, lowering springs, and uprated shocks.... you have a very fun go-kart :worship:

Excellent! :D

I had a Fiesta Zetec-S before my Type-R and that was around 110bhp per tonne and Alex's cinq would definitely have whipped that

yes mate it would have :D

these cars can suprise many much bigger / faster things when needed, especially round the twisty stuff.

i remember only the other week havin a cav sri behind me on tweesledown road and it not bein able to keep up (y)

u kno u want to get 1 ;) can pick up a minter for about 1k!

Heh, all my money goes into paying off the car I've got... and the petrol for it :(

I think one of the things that would put me off the Cinq as a 2nd car though would be the ncap of only 2...
I knew someone who had a standard cinq and had an accident and the car was a mess, it looked like it had happened at about 60mph rather than 30mph!

haha.... one of my mates has a type R and says the exact same thing :D

thats simpily aviodable mate.... dont crash it! :p

i do know wat u mean tho, the first one i bought got hit from behind on a round-a-bout doin at about 20mph and it was written off and i got whiplash (n) (n)

and only last oct i was reversing in the one i have now and the rear bumper got clipped by some old duffer in a rover and that ripped the whole rear bumper / apron off, dented the boot door and broke the rear light

Hello :D it was meeee

that was well fun mate i enjoyed it! (y)

me and my mate were hoping u weren't an undercover cop :p
I have no 3rd gear btw ;) :D

Edit.. now actually read the thread properly :embarressed: lol
Yea ppl have already outlined the mods and stuff, i'm afraid i don't have any exact figures for the car.
Have to have a re-match when turbo is done :D

It looked fairly stable round the bends did it? i always wonder how much it rolls from the outside

Don't mean to hijack but all credit to Pipes for not getting all arse cos they had a bigger faster car etc, I usually have a tussle with some cars and they pull away on the straights and have some rude gesture to communicate but 5 mins earlier I was knocking there rear hatch to get in just have a laugh.

Of course we must also give praise to Alex22 for defending the Cinq corner, well done that man!

Liam

Hello mate :D

I meant to give you a wave when we went in separate directions but didn't notice you were going straight over the roundabout until the last second.
Yeah it was fun! I didn't expect you to be that quick as I've looked up the figures for the Sporting before and saw book 0-60's of mid 13's!
Do you do that route often?

Yeah, I could definitely tell it was taking the corners well. On the straights I still had more power there to use, but on the corners I don't think I could have taken them much faster than we were. It did bounce around a bit on some parts of the road, but then so did mine - it can get bumpy :D

How comes you don't have a 3rd gear?

yea i was gonna flash hazards at u as well mate

i've been down that route once before :slayer: it was a bit scary. my mate knew the road tho, he was like "brake dude" lol :D

i think my cinq can pull off a 10 second 0-60 just, not atm tho with missing gear (n) ... i think the syncro has just died or something on the selector has broken i don't know

i have a turbo'd engine to put in soon with a new gear box which should produce in the region of 104-110bhp  so we might need to play again :slayer:

But yea! ace fun and no one got hurt :worship:

well he chased me over the bridge

lol - well when I was sat behind you at the lights I could hear your zorst, so I thought if you planted it on green I'd follow you, makes the journey home a bit more interesting :D

Liam - cheers mate :)
It's a shame there are those types of people with attitude on the road. I'm an enthusiast with my car, and have the various clubs / forums I post on and it's always good to come across other people that are too. Also you could tell throughout that Alex was always driving sensibly and not doing anything stupid, so it was good fun (y)
