I've just emailed FIAT UK. I will report back if/when I get a response...!

Thank you for contacting Fiat and for your interest in our products.

Further to your enquiry, we would like to inform you that the Panda Alessi was a prestigious special edition created in association with the Alessi brand and in particular designer Stefano Giovannoni.

It featured unique styling details, such as the wheel trim and white side mouldings, along with the unique console and vibrant interiors found inside, which made it a truly unique proposition.

Less than 100 of these exclusive units were sold in the UK and the most popular colour by far was the Goa Orange.

Yours sincerely,

Customer Care Fiat

Orange also the best colour.

Best of all colours on the Mk3..........on the Alessi, the Mamy and the Cross.

Why the cretins failed to do the 100hp in orange is beyond me. Seriously, for a few years I thought the novel 50 shades of Gray was about FIAT's colour schemes. Turns out it's not about FIAT screwing themselves, but something similar.

No the best colour is Mambo (y) however I don't think that would work on the Cross.

Yellow would also be nice......

The only time I spotted one of these was way back in 2010 just after I bought my 100HP. It was on the opposite side of the Dronfield bypass going into Chesterfield. Such a very rare and special car. I didn't even know they did other colours for these than orange. But after looking it up I prefer the green.

Thanks for that info. I knew it was a special and limited edition, but less than 100, should I wrap it in cotton wool, or continue to use and enjoy it?

Did a 200 mile round trip today in the heat, nice and cool inside, relaxed, comfortable. A happy car.
