I didn't know that was closing
my dad raced there for years before my time so only been a couple of times. Into road racin more myself went to olivers mounth a few weeks ago was brill. Guys my man! Lol so how come it's shutting down?Apparently the locals have been complaining about the noise, even though they must have known about it when they moved there. The restrictions on use have meant that money making trackdays have had to be curtailed so the management can't make ends meet.
I haven't been to Oliver's Mount since about 1979, I saw Barry Sheene race there I recall. I was working at Butlins and caught the bus to Scarborough to meet a mate from home who went on his bike. Half way through the afternoon it started raining so my mate opened his top box, got out his waterproofs and was warm and dry. I scrounged a bin liner from a burger van which I wore over my body as a coat (no arm holes, I kept my arms inside!) and wore a carrier bag as a hat. I must have looked stupid but was fairly dry.
I like Guy but also like Cam Donald, don't know if he goes to Oliver's Mount though.

That's long before my time lol I'm only 20! Lol ma dad could av been there though lol. He's fancying avin a go again just in 1000cc non qualifiers race at olivers nxt year. I'm not sure about Cam but all other main lads go mcguiness n Dunlop all them. U should go nxt year was fab this year went t spring cup and gold cup. That's mad wi Mallery park like u say they must av known about it when they moved there! The local church to us has people complain about bells ringin it's like well that's been tere about 300year so surely u were aware of if before u moved in lol. Madness! So u got a bike atm? Am hopin to get ma bike lesson for ma 21st.

I've got a Triumph TT600. I took it round Cadwell last year and nearly looped it over the Mountain!
