Re: Beige Uno spotted Burton Upon Trent

Lol, that's not beige, that's metallic gold

The real beige colour was Beige Corinto, non-metallic, available on basic models such as the 45 and 60 around 1986. My Mum had one

Cheers for the comment Freebo!!! ah so it was your Punto Abarth I was admiring out the window whilst I was on the phone at work

It is easy to get lost round there, all the industrial estates look alike!!

I travel up from near Walsall to work in Burton everyday, as the Uno has become my sole transport.

It only has just over 40,000 on the clock now from new now but should be getting a second car soon to keep the mileage low and off the roads in the winter.

To be fair your not wrong about the colour as it does come up on the DVLA and is stated on the Mot's as Beige, but I'd say it's more a champagne metallic really.

The actual paint colour is Platino Met, I only know this as I had to have some paint made up!!

But nice to be noticed

Hehe. I was looking for a place to turn round and noticed the box shape and thought 'that isn't what I think it is?!' And it was hehe. I was tempted to park up next to it and take a pic of it with my car but a van driver was already giving me funny looks :P

Nice to also find such a cracking example out in the wild rather than just seeing one at a car show. Love it dude!

Cheers feeling the Love!!

Yeah it's good to get the use of it rather than it just sitting on the drive week after week, it's not perfect but it's getting there ha ha.

Shame you didn't get a pic of them together, it was probably only one of our drivers anyway as there always giving people funny looks to be fair lol

The boxy shape does stand out amongst all the other cars on the estate!! people do a double take when they see it parked ha ha.
