Hi me and the my gf saw a grey left hand drive 100hp with red mirrors, italia over-the-top stripes and abarth badges. Who was it...?

Hey. thats the one (your the one). I asumed it was left hooker as i glanced at the plates and thought it was italian (so the plates work)
Looked really good mate. The over the top stripes look great.

Yea easily done, the plates seem to confuse so many people, still means they look authentic i guess lol. When you saw it i imagine it was stupidly dirty.. poor old thing didnt get cleaned much over the winter! Thanks for the comments on the stripes, mine was a pandamonium originally but the silver stripes down the sides were rubbish quality, had two sets in two years as they kept fading, so decided to change the car abit.

These stripes are laminated and still look new now, Premier Signs in Colchester fitted them aswell as wrapping the mirrors and designing the stripes down the sides, these start off just red/green on the front wing an then the white gradually comes through between the colours to make the italian flag before breaking up on the rear quarter just like the pandamonium ones do! very happy with the result.

Magnetti Exhaust and KW/FK Suspension next. I'm always on the look out for other hp's so hopefully will see you about.

To be honest the car looked clean. We always send people to premier signs. I work at Colchester motormania on barracks str. If you ever see a elec grey hp (normally clean) wiv carbon wrap mirrors and smokey chrome (dark silver) hp wheels give as a flash etc. Only ever see one on my way home and it hardly ever seems to move.

Fiat fan in motormania eh, best I pop in for bits when I pick up my next punto sporting (y):D

Yes leebex. The car may not be ther as i bike into work alot as some cutomers parking leaves alot to be desired if you get my drift.:)

Phoned Colchester branch of Motormania last week as I wanted to buy a compression tester, only to be told "no mate, don't sell them any more" so I didn't visit. Am sure will have reason to call in in future so will say hello then.

Hi Tipouno. Unfortunatly this is true. think we can get one from draper however cos thers cost so much we dont stock it. All our other suplliers dont do it which is shame as we get asked quite a bit tbh. Hopefully whoever you spoke to put you over to machine mart or even ernest doe.

I got a Draper comp. tester from Wilco for £20.99. Went to Machine Mart first but the one they had came with several adaptors and cost about £45. I wanted one to use on a mini, so didn't need the adaptors, but as an afterthought I had a look at the plug recess on the Idea and found that a 12mm long reach adaptor would be required which can be got from ebay for about £7. The adaptor I saw was a two-in-one unit - long reach with an M10 and M12 thread for use on motorbikes etc.

Hmm. thats odd. I never looked into the price of them tbh as i just an assistant the but will let the guv know bout that as its money we potentially losing out on. Sorry bout that.
