21/8/09, aprox 9pm, A10 (Great Cambridge Rd) in Edmonton / Bush Hill Park between Church St & Bury St.

It was quite a big one, it seemed to involve a black Mk 2 Punto, I think a Saxo, several parked cars, a couple of garden walls & a telegraph pole....

Excuse the quality of the pic, I was driving in traffic & it was taken on a phone!

Didnt see the speedo - so fair play on that.

Well, by the looks of it theres an ambulance at the scene and in my opinion, taking photos of a crash is wrong. I would never do it. Don't think it would be too nice to be lay injured in a car crash, in pain and then notice someone taking photos to put on the internet.

I believe this accident was a fatality. Not sure from what vehicle though.

Lol. Thats the one.

Oh dear. RIP whoever it was.

Yes, I am blessed with a degree of intelligence, thanks for mentioning it.(y)

Theres traffic lights 50 metres past this picture, The accident had taken 1 of the 2 lanes out too, so the traffic was slow stop start. I could have completely stopped the car to take the picture but I`m not that selfish or stupid, so I took it as we all crawled by at 2-4mph.

You may not have the ability to press a button when rolling at a few miles an hour (in an automatic), but I do. If you cant `multitask` in this way, I`d advise you to never use a sat nav or touch the stereo in a car... in fact stop driving altogether..

Your definition of what is `wrong` is obviously different to mine. If I had a crash in a built up area, whether its a minor shunt or a major one, I`d expect at least 20 people to take pictures on their mobiles. That wouldnt bother me, tis life.

The drivers seemed to be being questioned by the coppers. There was 2 police cars & 1 ambulance on scene (no fire engine, despite there being a fire station 1/2 a mile away), no screening, no diversion, meaning it WASNT a fatal RTA & neither was anyone trapped.

Your clever arn't you :shakehead:

People taking a photograph of a crash when someone could be hurt is wrong. Not only that, but you were driving at the time and right next to a police car!

I didnt say I did not have the ability to use a phone/camera whilst driving - the fact its illegal is the reason I dont do it. Wether your crawling along at 2mph or going at 70mph doesnt differ, its still illegal to use a mobile phone whilst driving a vehicle. Plus, i was refering to fact you did it right next to a police car.
