You can't really blame women drivers its not like every woman on the road pulls infront of you suddenly.

The only drivers on the road I don't like are van and bus drivers as they just seem to keep coming at you when its your right of way.

Middle lane hogging isn't an issue if there is nothing behind you. I came back from Barmouth down the A5 / M54 in the fast lane because I was going faster than every1 else and nobody was trying to go faster than me so it made sense. i moved over a couple of times when I saw a car in my rear view that was gaining in me so it could go past, then i was straight back out and overtaking again.

And I don't blame Helz for overtaking where she did cos a pet hate of mine is when a certain expensive car (AKA porche canine) is doing 30 in a 60 and you overtake (in something like a 1.1 8v mk1 punto) and all of a sudden they want to go about 90mph. wtf is that about?

Haha I can relate. Yesterday on the way to work I noticed the 57plate black SLK in front of me swerving all around the lane, as I got closer it turned out to be a lady fixing up her eyebrows in the rear view :D:D:D

However I do know some good women drivers so they’re not all bad. I think that some of them do not take driving seriously enough.

confidence does not mean you have driving skills. most young lads are cocky so they drive with confidence, but that doesnt mean they are good or safe drivers, quite the opposite usually. i'd say young lads are the biggest danger on our roads, they have the wrong attitude compared to their skills and experience. look at me i'm so cool i can drive like a nutter. great, than as soon as something goes wrong your little boy bum craps itself and you dont know what to do. very clever. insurance companies use the statistics, they wouldnt give girls cheaper insurance unless they were less likely to crash, so who's the most dangerous?

Im a young driver and dont drive all cocky like an idiot. I drive sensibly and with due care and attention to the surroundings around me. I always respect the speed limits around towns and cities as these are most dangerous to drive in.

One thing i hate is when you see young lads my age in low powered cars going for overtaking manouveres in spaces that i wouldnt ven attempt it in and missing other cars by a matter of a few feet .

And then they go speeding down my street and past my house at about 60mph, they really wind me up. Theres a time and a place to do your speeding and thats on the motorway.

reminds me off the young lad yesterday who came flying round a traffic light controlled left corner(palmerston place for those that know)
he had jumped the red as the green man came up and i was crossing,he had to slam the brakes on as there was a queue of traffic at the other side of the crossing.
so locked wheels and his rover is sliding to the side with his little face wretched in fear.
didnt look any more cool when he locked his door as i popped over for a chat

Totally agree (y)

Have you ever ben down the a1041 (aka cammy straight) anyone

Nearly every day i go down there and can guarantee that there is always a chav car in the ditch at the bottom heading towards selby where it goes through a set of sharp s-bends .

can't say as I have, but there were quite a number of similar sounding places near some of the larger towns in Scotland when I went up there this summer - and it's not hard to see why.
Locally I've found that alot of the boy/girl-racer-esque drivers, seem to be unaware that it's a good idea to not only change down when entering a bend, but that slowing down is also a necessity... there's a certain unnamed, un-policed, short stretch of road/track, in Hull which is beautiful for going quickly round (large roundabout, into double S-bend, out onto roundabout), but the amount of times I've seen chavved up corsas and such almost stack it.... just doesn't even bear thinking about...

Yes i have before, i had an ex who lived in/nr snaith, (dont ask me where abouts because i cant remember!) i never saw many ditched cars around there, although you use the road more than me

Its usually after its been raining, that sttetch of road gets really horrible and greasy. The bends come up on you quite suddenly as well, fair enough you can take them quite sensibly in a modern car with all safety aids at 60-70mph, but its usually old cars that in the hedge or ditch there. (n)
