Right so...
  1. Its quicker than any fiat ive owned (bar the UTs)
  2. Its doesnt rattle like all of the fiats ive owned
  3. The ride quality is smoother than any fiat ive owned
  4. The build quality is better than any fiat ive owned
  5. Its more economical than all petrol fiats ive owned (using only 1/8th of a tank on the 100mile trip home doing 37mpg sat at 85mph)
  6. Its a damn sight less rusty than any Fiat of that period.
Therefore, I dont see what all the stupid smilies are for...

Someone hasn't owned a Tipo Sedicivalvole then. Checks all those boxes. Then some.

Im with bushboy on the golf, good choice!! very reliable german quality, very cheap to run, maintain , easily sourcable parts (eurocarparts) not like sedici!!!! and dont forget best hot hatch ever!! confirmed and yes i have one, Ant! its the misses who drives the uno turbo!!!

plus almost all parts still available from a dealer or motor factors or italian car specialists...

As for best hot hatch ever... That's just one opinion.

compare the prices of the parts!!! and try and get any parts other than sevice items!! I own a rare fiat and know how hard it is to aquire parts, mk2 golf gti 16v voted best hot hatch!! Ant!

I've had to buy parts for them.. I own one. The UT's are a fair bit older - especially the Mk1s so would expect finding parts harder - Especially when they are a great donor car for Cinqs and Puntos. Mk2 Sedicis were in production only 12 years ago, with some still being produced in eastern european countries into the 2000s!

As for best hot hatch.. Tipo and GTI Mk2 were different generation. Tipo was out when the Mk3 GTI was a disapointing 2.0 8v. Some mags say Tipo was best of rest, some that it was better than Mk2 GTI and others dismiss it totally. All opinions.

the misses uno turbo is a 93 and i find it very difficult to aquire any parts even from the dealer thats why had to buy a donor 92 car as spares, yet if the golf needs a part which is very rare i can get anything and i mean everything, i love the 131 supermirafiori, strada 130, sedicivalvole, but it would be to much effort to keep and maintain, so im looking at an integrale he he got some work there Eh!! Ant!

Grales are great and all but is 4wd, better suspension and a turbo worth the £15k+ price tag over a Sedici? Maybe if I was on double what I get now, and had the garage space to keep it dry.

As for that Tipo.. Seen it a few times and sure it was for sale recently. I've already got a minter - just needs some engine work. Other than that it's as tight a car as I've ever driven - and that's on old wishbones too.. Got some new ones just waiting for me to get off my ass and start fixing her up.
