Ok updated it so it doesn't use a javascript popup. Whilst this is a lot neater, it means we can't have a detailed description underneath anymore, just a single line popup...

I didn't feel it was fair to add GSR, as that's pretty much free advertising...

the CC you have a point though.... erm...

is it possible to make it case sensitive? when someone says map they're normally refering to ecu mapping, but MAP they mean the sensor.

Also, map can refer to the Sat Nav Cd as well.

The easy answer is no, basically, in your example above, you typed ecu in llower case so i would to put in all possible cases to make it work...

Fiat, fiat, FIAT, etc etc....

How many other words though are likely to be the same? (ignore PASS, which will be fixed!)

Took me a while to find this thread, but thought I'd just add that this is a great idea! :slayer: Was quite pleasantly surprised to see acronym & abbreviation definitions appearing in technical posts.

Just a thought though -- some words appear to link directly to the Wiki definitions (which is cool) but don't have a tooltip under them... any chance of having a quick one-line description on these too, so that you only have to open up a separate page if you want a fuller description/examples etc?

Oh aye -- and FIRE being Fully Robotized (Robotised?) Integrated Engine would be nice.

While I think about it, perhaps that's another suggestion worth making to the writer of the mod -- to have a system whereby each word can be put in and flagged as being case sensitive or not.... so that things which are really obvious "real" words like map or pass can be set as case sensitive....?

I asked, he seemed reluctant, so I wouldn't get your hopes up too much.....

As for the descriptions, it was deemed better to keep the descriptions to Wiki, thus not slowing down the forum with loads of extra text and Javascript pop-ups (the current ones don't require js to function)...

However, still early days So everything will be taken into consideration!

Any more links people want for this? Seemed to die pretty soon after I bought it

i wouldn't say its dead, but there is only a finite number of things that need to be in a glossary. I'd say it's in use and working well now.
