Post Edit Time Window

Post Edit Time Window

The edit timer is (I think) set to 2 hours, except for Members Motors threads. This should give enough time to edit spelling/grammar mistakes for example and to limit the possibility of editing after someone has already responded (which can make threads very confusing).

Any additional info, just add it in a new post.

In that case, use the Report button and let the mod clean it up for you :)

Yes I could/have done that very occasionally in the past but when it is not something that could/would cause offence then for technical advice errors then involving a moderator in what may be a complex article/post is just a little unnecessary.

Example:

I post:

o Petol is inflammable
o EU rules dictate speedometers for UK must have km markings as well as mph
o The crank pulley nut on a Strada/Ritmo 130TC is right hand thread
o All new cars post a certain date must have tyre pressure warning system
o etc

Now you point out to me, or I myself spot three hours later I made an error and that the 130TC crank pulley is left hand thread and does not have the traditional cut/notch on the nut face apexes.

It would be far easier for me to go and correct that error than ask a moderator to mess with the post.

Anyway was just a suggestion and no big deal either way.
