Stuff like that tends to be model specific, or come up as part of a particular fault-finding exercise.
I'd say if you're looking to talk about that stuff in general terms, the MES forums themselves would possibly be the better place to look.

In my search for Cruise info.. most things led to an Alfa forum..

Whilst I agree with Eclipse about these sort of things tending to be specific, I would follow a section which was completely dedicated to MES operations.

I've had my MES for a couple of years now and I'm getting quite familiar and "happy" with reading fault codes and what to check out as a result. I also really like graphing sensor outputs and fine it helps greatly with the understanding. Actuations too is very useful, used it recently to diagnose a failed radiator fan resistor on my boy's Punto.

Where I start to feel very nervous is with stuff like CAN setup/PROXI alignment procedure. Don't understand it but would like too.

So perhaps a section in which our more advanced knowledgeable friends could instruct the rest of us might be a good thing?
