Does this site have any? Just wondering really as the Vx club I'm a member of does.... I think the forums could do with more than just one major meet per year (per region or as a whole). It seems like there's more going on "down South" than there is further "oop North" (ie Xmas Bash) and for some, this is just too far to travel and so miss out on meets etc.

I'm not talking cruise style meets but something a bit more grown up. I know people can arrange meets by themselfs but it just seems a little too dis-organised.

i even happen to have a track near by :p

therefore reinforcing my point!

What reinforces your point? BTW, what is your point? Would you really be prepared to travel 240+ miles each way for go-karting? I wouldn't and neither would loads of other people. And before you say it would be a weekender, not everybody is interested in ****-ups (especially not if you're driving the day after). What has really happened in the North West in the past 3 months? Nothing significant I'd say. That's why I thought this thread would be a good idea. I know people can arrange their own (mini) meets but what's wrong with having something organised? I thought setting up different regions and having different "leagues" going on between them would bring a bit of variation to the club...

But if all you're going to do is bitch and shoot people down, forget I said anything...

for me i accept that the bulk of the meets will be down south(relative to my geographical location) as thats where the bulk of the members are
i would travel down for a meet(lol once i get the cinq turbo running as it should)
organising meets is always a tricky thing due to everyones priorities and commitments. anyone can organise a mini meet.hell we had a micromini meet of 3 in edinburgh(thats 2 plus me :D )

Like i said i did try and organise something for june/july august so infact it was potentially for the last few months... if people arent interested i cant help that, who's bitching?

My point it your missing the point here, A MEET WAS ORGANISED FOR THE NORTH WEST BUT THERE WASNT ANY INTEREST! is that more clear :)

The forum has plenty of things going on, I dont really see whats stopping people from organising a mini meet.

BTW its a forum not a club :)

If there was more interest then more meets would be organised, but there wont be anything official until early next year and see where we go from there.

Meets arent about **** ups. weekenders are good becuase people can chose either day or stay whole weekend. Last NW meet, we just had a meal in the evening and had a get together in gaz's room, some drank but it was all about the cakes :)

For those in the NW more interested in cars than drinking it should be noted (and this is not a dig at anyone :)) that only two FF members turned up to a recent car show. And still people complain..........

Sammi has worked very hard to help me with the NW meet, also we did the rally last year, a mini meet in Blackpool and she has done FF stands at various car shows. If you don't like the meets that are on offer, put up some ideas yourself and if there's enough interest, let's do it! That's one good thing about FF, it is open to all and anyone can help out if they wish, even if only in a small way.

its the company that make the meet, the beer just adds to the experience :D

we could all just meet up and not talk, or go off and do our own things, but we get forced into talking to each other :p , i suppose our passion for fiats helps us a little

although saying that i dont think i have been to a meet yet that we have actually talked about cars
