Fault Encyclopedia

I think we should put a Fault Encyclopedia Section to this forum.

People should find previous faults and solutions under one section.

Make:....................

Fault: ........................

Solution: .......................

Location:.......................

Cost:........................

Yes, of course it is. It is a very useful site. But it would be better if we could find information quickly if it becomes organized like this.

Fault >>>> Solution

You wont have to read plenty of pages to find out how they solved the problem..

Make:....................well I would hope Fiat

Fault: ........................ the majority of posts dont actually know the fault

Solution: ....................... again, its not always a one hit fixes all

Location:....................... of car,fault or what?

Cost:........................ in what currency
As said the guides.FAQs and search features are there for this
what you propose is unlikely to hit the mark of what you would hopplus whats the point of the forum after that if it was exhaustive?

Re: Fault Encyclopedia

The idea assumes that there's only ever one solution for each fault. If the fault was (for example) "Yellow Fiat CODE light on dashboard don't go out", there could be numerous reasons for it, and therefore numerous different solutions, locations and costs.

Re: Fault Encyclopedia

I was thinking about how long the list would be if the fault was listed as "car won't start".
