1/4 mile time list

1/4 mile time list

OK, I replied to this and it got deleted and some of my post was actually relevant so I'll say it again. I thought this forum was for people to share advice and ideas not to show off who had the biggest weenie. There are plenty of boyracer sites for people to do that on and I would be very disappointed if this turned into another chav site instead of being an open minded, welcoming to all forum.

I thought this forum was "for talk on all things Fiat", but Leisure Lounge shows that it's not exclusively so. I'd suggest that the 1/4 mile times of Fiats is more Fiat related than what I had for my supper. (nothing, BTW)

Yes, all opinions do count, which is why I'm peed off that someone decided to delete my opinion because it didn't agree with theirs. I still think it's taking the forum in the wrong direction - does aaaaanyone else out there think the same?

i think quarter mile times would turn into what helz says

maybe just a list of quarter mile times that aint open to discussion

although if i had a faster car, i would most probably want to discuss the fact that my car could achieve such times and speeds

Originally I was looking at this thread from a motorsport point of view. I think there should be a motorsport section for people who race fiats or fiat engined cars. Like a friend of mine who's just built a single seater race car using a fiat uno fire engine. It would be good for people who race to be able to share tips & info. Not everybody owns a fiat to drive on the road.

I also think that to be a good idea, then again there are engine specific forums around:rolleyes: . They can always post in the general section:D

Fair enough everyone is perfectly entitled to their point of view and that's yours, but I do have to say I think that it is a bit narrow-minded, when you consider that there are an abundence of "styling" sections on this forum - and the styling of someone's car is often far more "chavvy" that the performance of it and that hasn't really lead to this forum becoming "chavified"
Also would stopping people from discussing the results of tuning tips that they may well have found on this forum not be distintictly close-minded?

In case anyone missed it I think that was a plug of his Turbo Forum and ClubFirePower's forum (www.clubfirepower.co.uk) If people are looking for more performance leaning information then it may be an idea to have a looksie at either of these options (1/4 mile times welcomed ;))

I reported the thread and deleted the posts, the discussion had got waaaay off topic and was getting silly.

All this info is available in the other threads from other sections, we're just putting it all in one place by posting here. There's loads of threads containing "I've just done 130", so we're already a chav site then - nothing changes from this thread being here.

Woah there!

Run that past me again, you reported it? (as an admin), then deleted it? (again as an admin)....isnt the reporting phase a bit unnecessary?

If anyone reports a thread, then a new one gets started automatically backstage for the moderators to comment upon.

Common courtesy to let the other mods know what we're up to.
