You shouldn't get a quote about yourself, unless you quote a thread that quoted you? If so, that's a bug.

To clear notifications, you need to click the number in the drop down bar.it will then list all the threads.

There's no way to change that as the notification is just a counter, it doesn't actually tag to threads.

its not working for me like that..

I go to the list and then i have to actually click each thread individually to clear each notification.

And if i reply in a thread and quote someone - when i next load a page i get a notification to tell me i just quoted someone.

Perhaps move this to Bugs section and see if anyone else has the same thing?? Not that many people seem to browse the bugs often

The blue counter doesn't say i have quoted bit if i go into it like the likes and dislikes it tells me who i have quoted.

Mines is the same with clearing the counter i have to go into the list of quotes in my user cp and click on the post link even though i've already read the post. But mines has always been like that with the likes/dislikes and social groups etc

Are you sure you need to click the post? Just go to the list page should clear it, but it won't show until you browse to another page, as when the header is created the clear code hasn't run yet.

Nope cause i thought that thats how it would work the first few times but it doesn't clear i have to click the link to the thread

No because if say there is 3 notifications for 3 different quotes on three different threads - i have to go to the list of quotes (if i browse away from this screen the number stays at the top), so then i have to click a quote to view it and when i browse away from the page the number at the top would go down to 2. Have to do the same on each to clear the notification.

Also noticed if i browse the thread where the quote is without using the notification to get to said page the notification doesn't clear either..

Sorry to whinge Ben, love the new layout and design, just a little annoying.


edit: that time i didn't get the notification to say i quoted you like i did before which was what was annoying me the most - how strange

Thats what i get to but the number in the blue box doesn't change when i quote someone else which i think is what happened to blu73

Makes complete sense, as I have it too. When I post this, I'll get a notification telling me I've just quoted someone - even have it on my profile wall of quotes:
