On behalf of what was said on the other thread as a new site idea if a post gets locked or delted can we have a way for other users to see why it was deleted?

Also as well as having good rep can we have bad rep, if we reach a certain figure we shud serve a weeks ban or summat!!

Wat does everyone think???

One point - say threads have been deleted, not moved. Once it's gone, it's gone. I agree that discussing thread deletions in public just causes arguments though but I'm assuming you contact the main player(s) in the thread to tell them why it's ben removed?

Erm, when a thread is deleted, is it 'soft' deleted - similar to when a post within a thread gets deleted.

It is still there, can still be edited/moved/undeleted, etc, just not able to be seen without certain mod rights.

i think the way things work now is fine, it is abit wierd when a thread disappears tho but i can see why,

as for banning members, removing their threads/posts should give them the hint,

Exactly - you come on, you see your own thread deleted, why not make a quick PM or MSN to a mod [it takes what, 30 seconds, to do that] - it is more annoying seeing thread after thread going on and on about 'where has my thread gone to?'

I suggest when a thread is deleted that all the mods gang up and go and beat up the person(s) involved.

I'm not helping am i?

That's why I suggested telling someone, it saves a lot of hassle. You don't have to be rude to them, just an explanation. Not everyone is clever enough to realise why something has been removed y'know.
