I know Im only new on here but looking through some of the sections Ive seen window stickers here and there. I think it would be great if you made a 'show us your stickers section'. You could have people take pictures of their stickers on their car, Big, Small any type? you could then have it so that people could make their own designs and people could save them and print them off themselves or save them to send to someone who can print them off? You could also do a vote every month and then the winner gets their sticker made and you send the winner a handfull of prints of the stickers and then you could sell them on your site for more revenue?? If Im talking crap then please feel free to let me know, I just think it would be great being able to share different ideas? :slayer:

i like this idea build your own sticker monthly comp the winner gets there artwork published on the shop for the forum and you get that feel good factor of helping out something we all use?!

ALSO if there fiat forum based stickers that win the user's sticker sales = donation from the user - costs of production and postage?

example i design a FF sticker that costs £0.25 to make and £0.50 to post so net cost = £0.75

we sell the sticker in the shop for £2 a throw - £0.75 is a £1.25 return on the sticker not bad

but wait theres more

now say we ran the comp every month on the 28th of the month judgeing is done etc etc that gives you 1 month to raise as much as you can to make profit for the fourm

so example my sticker makes £1.25P per unit and the site sell 50 units so my collection in 1.25*50 = 62.50 my name goes on the leader board of £62.50 next month joe blogs designs one that make a net profit of £1.99 but only sells 5 units he will be second and so on

after every 4 months the winner will get the total made on their sticker put into a little logo at the side of there name like "donated member" etc but heres the clever bit to carry on driving sales you run a semi and quarter final type thing so the winner of say a heat of 5 members per quarter will get put into a quarter final where all other stickers are removed bar the quarter finalist then semi then final the overal winner gets a little prize say a "ff" sticker for jokes and "Winner of sticker award 2011" on there name under the flag

make a game of it and drive revenue!

Thats what Im talking about, Just seemed that I needed another brain to get the idea across. :D Just thought it would be a really good idea for the site. I would attempt to make them but my craft skills are as good as my manners, and they are **** ;) Maybe if its an idea that FF consider Im sure they wouldnt mind production if they are making a half decent profit. Maybe they could use the trusty old Ebay to sell some more also.?? ;) Thank you for clarifying what I was attempting to say anyways ;) :devil:
 
I think it's a good idea! With the growing trend of 'sticker bombing' on cars now it would be fairly popular. Althoug I think an idea similar to Groupon could also work.

For example, do as stated above where Joe Bloggs creates one etc makes a return blah blah but do it so that they don't get produced unless a set amount are 'sold'. This way it means that if a sticker is not popular but 'sells' 35 copies, meaning it would hardly be worth while making them then there is no problem :)
 
plenty of vinyl cutters and sign printers on ebay making stickers all would be willing for the extra business im sure? just a matter of finding someone to represent FF to contact them IE boss's/Mods
 
I really didnt expect many people to reply to this thread :) . To be honest I just saw somewhere on the forum where people where showing their sticker designs and thought it would be a good idea to put up a separate section. Even if people just design stickers and post them to share with each other and then we all make our own ;). I really do feel as though Ive used the word sticker a hell of a lot more than I should lol. Just saw some good designs by people and thought it would be good to not have generic stickers that 1000 other people have ;) and If you saw someone with your design on their car, you know they've been on the FF ;)
 
Its very hard to please you Most easterly pandas lol ;) I just thought it would be a pretty cool idea. It doesnt have to be some big sales driven thing. Even if theres just one small section where people can share their designs.
