Tuning & Customising ..

There are seperate areas on the site to talk about ICE, Bodywork, Satellite Navigation, Security etc. but there's no specific area for those that like to tune/customise there cars to swop idea's, info and show off their creations. I know many on here(myself included) consider Blue Neons and dustbin sized exhaust pipes a waste of time but many others like these things so how about we give them an area to play in, might visit it myself if some serious tuners use the area(remaps, turbo upgrades etc.). Many modifications are universal and not model specific so a Tuning/Customising area would be benificial to like minded members IMO.

Re: Tuning & Customising ..

Tech Talk, why?

Tech Talk is packed full of technical problems, faults and errors not really place for the perfection some members manage when Tuning and Customising their cars.(andless you class Tuning and Customising as a problem, fault or error? )

Might be what it's full of but not what it's limited to. Many tuning related questions will be of a technical nature which tech talk should be ideally suited too.

The same could be said for most sections of the forum, ICE, Satellite Navigation, Security but they have their own area's?

There's a lot of forum members with a great deal of tuning/customising knowledge but as there is no specific place for that knowledge its spread all over the site in various sections making it difficult for anyone interested in such things to find it.

An area specific to Tuning and Customising for similar minded members would be benificial to the site and its members IMO.

Re: Tuning & Customising ..

tech talk is what ben gave us when we asked for a tuning section, together with the tuning prefix in every section, he thought that would be ok

tech talk was meant to be for any thing that could apply to more than one model and the tuning prefix for model specific

Unfortunately the Tech Talk section and tuning prefix fails miserably as far as Tuning and Customising goes(sorry Ben). If your after that sort of information its spread all over the site and is hard to find. May be if it had been called "Tuning & Customising" in the first place members(and MODs) would have used it solely for that purpose and not for anything technically orientated?

I guess it would attract new members as most Fiat owners interested in tuning/customising thier cars use other sites because that sort of info here is difficult to find.

How about a month long poll, let members vote on it?

1. Yes
2. No
3. Don't Care.

I was born in the 60's, as far as I'm concerned a customised(modified) car has huge rear wheels, pram wheels at the front and flames along the sides.
