barely notice it

Well I (and it seems a lot of others) do notice it. Its current placement is distracting and annoying IMO. This is compounded by the inability to minimise it.

Also, is there any need for it? The tweets that are in there so far seem to be about server/forum setup. Wouldn't that be handled by the site news section? Or is it a case of having two outlets for the same piece of info?

on the 2nd part
often people dont read the relevant section
then start a thread asking about x,,z
 
Ive seen sites with a ****ter thing the same but its like a little birdie that pokes out only few pixels and about the same wide (id say about the same size as the check boxes)

MUCH more standable.

I only use an older eeepc laptop with a 7inch screen and its annoying on there

now on that i can see the issue
for me its right on the edge of the screen
 
Er... that's the whole point ..... important news and links will be posted there, so we dont get hundreds of "why does ..." this happen everytime something changes ;)

good point. but is still annoying lol. but il get used to it. i dont use twitter so that may be why its just pecking at me :D
