Ok this may just be a stooopid idea.

Looking through a few sections it seems that Tyres are a common and popular topic so maybe a separate section could be formed?

Maybe as part of General??

Yeah I see what your saying there, I kinda meant for the do I need Directional, Assymetric, Whats a compatible size for alloys from 13" to 17" What do you run in the winter stuff.

But on second thoughts is that model specific too.

we have similar discussions among the mods
we have an ice section but if someone asks about OE audio then does it go in the model section?
we have a sat nav section but if its a built in connectnav unit then doe it go in the model section?
no real solid answer/solution

Well why not have a sticky in each cars own section (y) can't be that hard for a mod to do surely! For tyres that is.
 
I think a similar suggestion has been posted before, but if we had a Tyres section, someone would say we also need an Exhaust section.... and a Shock Absorber section.... and a Brake Pad.... section and a ............

It's a non starter me thinks.

all ideas are very much welcome but as suggested you can either post in your model section or tech talk etc.

The problem with car forums is you could have a section for everything and i think this forum is very big as it is without adding more sections.
 
heh, seemed a good idea at the time but I now see why we dont have it separate.

Thing with Tech talk is that its too crowded with other stuff in there but yeah I can see the simmilar themed stuff spawning too many sub forums.

Back to the drawing board. :idea:
