Should have a monthly award for like mk1, mk2, mk3, fiat cars and let people enter them into the catergories and have like a 1st 2nd 3rd price i don't know something like free FF stickers each placed then discounts of the classifieds etc there are sooo many ideas but it would be a massive competition don't you think i think everyone would start getting henry hoover out and the turtle wax (y)

 How would all these "prices" (prizes?) get paid for?

im sure the guys who run the site surely could dip into the bank savings im looking at the donations £9,000+ orrr simply £1 to enter your car into the competition?? something easily like that could turn out to something good you driving around people recognising your car (y)

holy crap im sure the thread said..... site ideas?? did you not read just giving an idea and also i said whoever wants to enter to the competition could pay a small fee say how many enter e.g. 300 = £300 im sure stickers and discounts cost that much understand where im coming from? speculate to accumalate :yuck:

winners like me ;) would get massive swell heads and allsorts of arguements would happen if someone said something about one car that someone didnt agree with during a vote etc etc

We know where you're coming from corky no worries, I've had a suggestion or two knocked bac before & they were almost cost free.

I am guessing a Mod will pick up on this Thread soon with a balanced comment (y)

I was thinking about some competitions recently actually, but in a way, they should actually be to help the forum...

If you bring your car to a show, then we do have prizes already - though we could do this a bit more regularly I guess.

A much better idea I think, is something like "best guide written" or "most helpful member" and they win a PSP or Wii or something like that. Encourages people to put more effort into the forum then ;)

But I'm really straying from the point now... car of the month, an idea which could work but how would we accept entries? One from each model, or could one model have multiple entries? Who decides on a winner? etcetc

I know Mitcar does :)

Looking to expand that next year to offer at least "Best FF Car" at the AI events (y)

Right here goes........£50 of my hard earned cash goes the the best post on the forum from now till Christmas.................You Moderators please get working:D
It has to be functional, compassionate and up to date in our Fiat world of today :)

i think it would turn itno the same old faces pretty quickly, competitions i'm all for but the the agro i think it would cause 'car of the month' isn't the best plan.

Competition by entry fee would be good though and encourage the membership to grow if people can see members are winning good prizes. Could break them into the actual model sections as well to get more appropriate prizes as well as larger forum wide competitions. Think it could really work well

I noticed there was no awards for Fiat's at AI in Gaydon... being my first show, I was shocked. :p It was mainly ones like "Longest travelled" and the person was from Newquay or somewhere... Now I saw that Alpha (??) with a Netherlands registered plate, I think that's just a tad further than Newquay, somehow!!

FF don't sponsor any prizes at the AI shows.

However, something I will look into for next show season, either via AI themselves with the public voting, or just between ourselves :)

Hmmm ,depends - Gaydon to say Rotterdam is 305 miles...

Gaydon to Newquay is 260 miles - not a great deal in it!
