I think we should have a maximum sig size, say a maximum height and width, like they do on some forums.

I dont mean to be a kill joy or anything, but peoples sigs are getting sooooo massive that its getting hard to read some threads and soon we are going to be getting one reply per page!

What do you reckon Ben?

They change every 30 seconds, so are always updating.
Well if thats the case then the more people who have those sigs then the more problems it will cause ?? The FF will be constantly pinging or be pinged by the other site which will slow it down somewhat. I'm not that bothered myself as my connection can cope with it, but considering all the crap surrounding the sigs in the past few weeks and my connection never slowed down, now over the last week it has, well it seems a little ironic.

Agreed (y)

Say the word and this sig is gone.

*New Suggestion*

How would the dial-up user's feel about setting the number of posts per page down to 5/10. They can do this in User CP under edit options.

cheers,

joe

What a crappy suggestion! :D

May work though :chin: of course, dialup users would have already tried ALL options already, don't you think ;)
Apparently not mate :D According to some, new dial up users will not try any options and just give up :)

If someone reduces the number of posts per page then they have to load more pages up which takes longer. I would have thought that was common sense

I think we all get that part ;) But it would break it down into smaller/manageable chunks.... like bitesize revision :p
