I was thinking for the Daz and Boo's of the forum.

I don't mind abit of him now and again.

well obbiously we cud have a rota for differant music types....therefore listen to what you want?

Yeah, depending on popularity could have a few channels or just - like Radio1 - different DJ's playing different types of music.

i could be a dj, mrc's drivetime... although its internet radio... you get the idea

i've done presenting in the past and have the perfect face for radio, so im easily qualified

how easy would this be to set up do you think?

i think its a rather good idea

could it maybe be done in podcast forms that can be downloaded via the forum? that way, a few members could do a show or 2 regualrly every week, and there would be content on it regularly updated

a live FF radio show would be an awesome adition too though

id be up for sorting songs out...nominated members get say an hour slot pre recorded then it can play...

The way we worked it on the old torrent site was that the server had a Shoutcast server that folk could tune into at any time. Nominated members had a particular slot reserved but there were times when literally anyone could jump on. It basically just picked up exactly what was playing from your Winamp at that moment, so if you had allocated blocks of time you'd have to be careful to choose songs in advance so that you didn't overrun your allocated time, or indeed come up short and leave people waiting 10 minutes for the next person to start their slot

i have seen it done though itunes! i have a friend that dj's for the mix radio so ill ask him how he does it

Internet radio is dead - it woz spotify.com wot did it.

Haven't done any radio DJ'ing (internet or real radio) in about 10 years but I'd be willing to give it a go - you'd just have to put up with my twisted tastes

not really dead...just other things have taken over.
