Where Mods can run a Poll on people who members complain about.

Sentence is a ban hammer for however long the Mods decide is appropriate.

So we see Threads or Posts that are stupid, offensive or just plain wrong based on law breaking, racism, bad language etc

The complainant reports thye Post or Thread in the normal way
The Section Mod runs the Poll
We vote guilty or not guilty (24 hour Poll)?
Mod acts considering the evidence of the members

no way, i think offensive threads etc should be kept away from the masses and should be dealt with out of everyones way in the way they are, if you wish to know why a person is banned or why a thread was pulled etc PM a mod who MAY be willing to tell

We arent children, i am 24 years old and there is no why i am willing to be subject to a childish 'forum court' if you have a problem with my posts etc get a mod to PM me or PM me yourself

you shouldnt be so nosy either regarding banned threads, if a mod wishes to tell you or everyone else they will

A moderator wont tell why someone has been banned or punished. It is upto the person themselves to tell others if they wish them to know.

Come on its just supposed to be a bit of fun. Posts that get deleted are often seen by most regulars anyway before they get pulled. I dont want to know hy someone was banned, jeez I could have been banned a couple of times myself.

Some on here are like children TBH or havnt you noticed? They can offend decent peeps and Noobs who come in here looking for help.

Yeah i have noticed some people have attitudes more then others, but i just get on with it, the mods will take appropriate action when the time is right or when they think it has gone too far.

Say for example the idea is backed and everyone gets to see what was said by a certain individual, for a start i dont think its anyones place to look at possibly dodgy content unless a mod

There is also the potential to take the mick out of/abuse certain individuals following a closed or heated thread depending on the content, what about those who reported it, would they be labelled 'a grass?' following an incident as their protection is lost

This could lead to online bullying and/or possible further repercussions

The main reason it's all hidden is to protect those who report the posts. If we did it in the open you'd see who reported it - and that would discourage reports.

The "fun" bit is the involvement of the members, not the racist, homophobic bit, it would make people think twice before doing bad stuff, rather than being re-active it would be pro-active.

You dont see the Reports now, no reason why we should in my case Hellcat.

The votes dont need to have names on either, just a typical 1 vote Poll.

It really would be good to see Fiat Forum leading the way on this but not many are in support of me so I'll just slam the door on my way out and have a hissy fit lol!

Do you really think everyone is going to say 'you shouldve done this/that' etc? dont be so naive people will stick the knife in

A courtroom on a forum could never be fair, it could never show a true reflection of facts. It would be like having your friends and family (or flip side, your enemies) on a jury bench. how would that, how could that work?

OK OK bad idea ffs... ermmmm pardon my Anglo Saxon...

So what we have is what we keep, arbitrary (sp)? decision, in private, no arguments and that way all will be done right and proper, no-one will be bullied, picked on, threatened or whatever and the world will stay luvly...

Kinda how we thought the Government in the UK was until the whistle got blown on MP's expenses...

But thats cool... its what we agreed to when we signed up for The Fiat Forum.

I 2 agree with this as everything should be private information what goes on between mods and the members on the forum is there information not the whole sites.
