MK1, MK2 and MK3 section for punto?

The GP is the MK3, so technically it's not an MK3. In Europe, the MK3 is what we in the UK call the MK2B, so it's all confusing stuff.

The only real models with the name "Punto" solely are the MK1 1993-1998 and the MK2 1999-2003 and then the MK2B (or in Europe MK3) 2003 - 2006.

So technically to those in the Europe, the GP is actually the MK4?
Considering there, they call the 2B the MK3...

See what I mean? Too much confusion! :D

Lol. Sounds just like the mk1,2&3 Panda.

To you lot mk1+2 Panda probably look the same and you probably thought the mk3 Panda was actualy the mk2 (and some tits do :()

haha, the MK3 is the one released in 2003 or 2004 isn't it?! :p

The MK1 is the very first one, and then the MK2 is pretty much like the ones in your signature?!

no mk3 in the uk its a mk2b

having separate sections will just be more work for me as half the people don't even know what Mk they got so i would be constantly moving stuff :(
Dave, I think you're confused, the last couple of posts from me and MEP were referring to the Fiat Panda's! :D ;)

TBF there are a fair few shared major components that ran from start to finish of punto production in all mks...for example the 1.2 engine in both 8v and 16v variants appeared in all 3 models, so tech advice could apply to any mk...although they did use different ecus and injection methods...

Body work and fitting might not, though. I think it would be pointless, there's nothing wrong with the way it is in my personal opinion.

I think that there should be a Mk1 section and a Mk2 section with there being a sub-section in the Mk2 bit for Mk2b's.

It's the main reasons I dont use it.

dont use what?
TBH i think its utter nonsense,no need for sections for what are variations of the same basic car

but..but they are different. I'm not just talking engine components. I'm talking interior, exterior, body panels, stuff like that.
Just would make it more organised and pleasant for the reader as they know exactly which category they are browsing and talking about.

Countless times i've gone into a mk2 thread thinking it's about a mk1 etc
