In certain threads, there are some posts that need to be continually updated to contain new information, which necessitates "quoting" and "requoting" the same post just so that a new name, a new time or a new car colour (just loose examples) can be added or something amended.
In such a case if the thread originator was able to include a post that could be edited by all involved to reflect the new info and if that post could be made to show as a new post to those that are subscribed each time it was edited it would save a lot of reposting.
You can do this in the events section with the initial thread/post and I wondered what other people think or would it prove to be just something that trolls would mess with just because they could.
As an example there are times when an impromptu local meet might be arranged that doesn't merit a new thread in the events section but would require the "attendees" to list their names, cars, ETA etc. which could all be done in here.
