for Armistice day

Armistice Day is on 11 November.

A two minute silence is observed at 11am on 11th day of the 11th month because this is when the Great War, or World War 1, came to end in 1918.

But now, this anniversary is used to remember all the people who've died in wars since World War 1.

This includes World War 2, the Falklands War, the Gulf War, and conflicts in Bosnia, Rwanda and Kosovo.

that was mikee not me. im saying screw the "people" who get offended (altho most the time is political do gooders who make all the crap up) oh we are not ment to call is christmas now BTW its now called Winterval (need i say more ?)http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2006/dec/08/religion.communities

Im not christian but winter is christmas and it always will be. I cant see anyone getting offended its just the political do gooders who feel it might offend somone. which in turn causes trouble as young kids will feel they must be offended by anyone who calls it christmas...blah

*edit I realise that link is saying how its a myth but i hear about it so much it might as well not be. who ever made the "myth" did a good job as people belive it.... anyway off topic lol
