I think that there should be a section where each of the problems with each model are listed with the resolution from fiat, and how long it took to retify, what information the dealer needed to know etc...

For example:

Stilo tyer ware problem, apparently there is a fix, but not much is known.

Stilo Abarth Selespeed Gearbox Failure problem

Doblo rear wash wipe intermitant failure, this is a warrenty fix from fiat.

Seicento fuel tank recall

This would help members with new cars know what they may encounter, and if the dealer is in place to fix. Also help users with older cars know what to check for, see if a warrenty issue may have applied to it etc...

I think fixitagaintomorrow already does have some of this info in the sei/chinq section, but I haven't seen it in any other sections.

Please vote if you do/don't want to see this on the forum. Also feel free to add to this.

Resolution from Fiat? This is dealer dependent, surely, although FIAT UK do monitor this site. However, for each model? May be a logistical nightmare, tbh - i.e. Ulysse alone has problems with petrol models different to diesels - 2.0JTD diff to 2.2JTD - where do you draw the line?

BTW, still nice thinking :)

EDIT - how about a NOT SURE option, lol

Yeah, I do agree, it could be a complete nightmare to keep up to date, but could prove useful, perhaps other people might have ideas how the section could be run?

Certainly a "Recalls" section would be good but wouldn't the rest be covered under FAQ's?

The thing is, even with a designated section people are still going to post asking questions.

Alot of the questions asked could be answered with a simple search on this site :p

Well the yes' are winning... not that, that really means anything... this isn't a democracy.
