A new thread category

After reading a few threads, I was horrified that people were suggesting buying cheap nuts and bolts for their FIAT’s, so I decided to post a warning about the use of cheap Nuts and Bolts, I couldn’t find a suitable title in the forum, so I posted under “Car Care” as it was the only title that was close, especially as using the correct Nuts and Bolts is actually quite a Car Caring thing to do, I would have thought that there is more to caring for ones car than just the body work ????

Anyway, I just noticed that the thread was moved…to the “Leisure Lounge” where non Fiat chit chat is posted, well I’m sorry, and as a regular on other Forums, I can’t see the reason to move my posting to be lost in general non related chit chat, after all, it was after reading about what some people were mentioning about buying cheap nuts and bolts for their Fiat’s that prompted me to post in the first place, and besides, there are forum users that are only interested in the technical threads on most forums.

So my point is, should there be a section on the forum for more technical general advice along the lines of “Car Care” or should “Car Care” include the running gear as well as the outside aesthetics of cars, where the majority of the postings can be related to any Make and Model of car anyway

car care is for washing cleaning and polishing type threads, just by looking at all the other threads in it should show you that

leisure lounge chit-chat on anything & everything! so most of the forum visit that section, so a post like yours will get seen by a whole lot more people in there

A N Utter was obviously aware that most threads under 'Car Care' are about the bodywork. I think the correct place for the bolt discussion would be under 'Let's Talk FIAT', not the Leisure Lounge.

Perhaps 'Car Care' should be renamed 'Bodywork Care', or 'Show and Shine'.
