Reason for thanking

Simple Idea. User gets to write a simple sentence as to why they thanked a certain post?

What do we think?

This may stop petty pointless thanks and its also nice to know what you helped someone with. I know it can be pretty obvious why you thanked someone but sometimes it does need an explanation to the "thanks".

Ideas?

I wouldn't worry about the thanks system too much. It's proberly going to end up being removed. It's reached a point where thanks is given for such stupid stuff even the mods dish it out for giggles.

Nice idea and easily implemented me thinks seen it on other forums like this

good idea perhaps a seconf thank system also a automatic spell cehck would be ncie for me

There is already one if you use IE - called iSpell or something, up in the box above with a tick and ABC in it.

I tend to use Google toolbar and the checker within that, though.

There is one on my firefox at home but not on my firefox at work lol.
