I registered on some HTPC forum and tryed linking in my first post.

i got a message similar to this:

"to stop spammers we have barred people from linking to sites in their first post"

i thought this was a great idea, perhaps we could implement it in FF

thing is is anyone is really that bothered they can do what i did on the HTPC website and that was post saying "this is my first thread.." then post after it with links in it.. robots arn't that clever

I assume that means in their first *ever* post on the forum, not the first post in a thread..

Those spam threads though don't usually link anywhere though do they?

I'll have a look and see if a plugin is already available for this (y)
