Technical Rear subframe/axle

Could one of you lovely people take a moment to measure the rear subframe and axle of your Sedici please?

I have a Punto HGT and was wondering how much of the Sedici is Punto and how much is Suzuki. If the 1.9 Diesel or 1.6 Petrol engines are the same Fiat/Alfa units then the gearbox should fit my Twinspark block 1747cc Fiat 16V head hybrid. If the rear subframe marries up it could in theory at least be possible to make a Punto HGT 4WD.

Also could you take some photos of the mounting points to see if any alterations to the Punto floor would be required. This would mean (s)IVA territory so may well put the whole idea back on the shelf.

While it was a joint venture I believe they didn’t use parts or a platform form any other specific car, ie they didn’t modify the platform of something like a swift or a Punto, they built a new car then modified the engine they wanted to fit.

Diesel..all FIAT

Niche car.. now found in the same places as Daihatsu.. Cornwall. Wales. Scotland
