ABS light has come on and code reader gives driver side rear sensor fault. Rear brake shoes need replacing anyway so decided to fix it at one go. Have removed wheels and brake shoes and can see the wire going from a connector into the hub.
Eper says the entire hub has to be replaced (ebay £80 plus, local factors £120 plus, Fiat £340 plus). Fiat dealer thinks the sensor itself can be replaced (£103 plus but £20 on eBay germany).
The bearing seems fine and although it looks straightforward to change (and might be easier than extracting the sensor) the money is a lot different.
Has anyone changed one of these?
The auto 4WD Light is flashing presumably because of duff info from the sensor....
