Hi,
Please excuse my lack of any car technical knowledge. I was hoping someone could offer some advice. I have never had my DPF regen light come on in my Sedici, despite mainly town driving. I counted myself lucky until I recently saw news on mot changes and tampered DPF’s. please can someone advise if it’s possible whether mine looks tampered with, and will fail MOT. I was concerned it looks like it’s been welded. Thanks

Hi,
Welcome to Fiat Forum. I don't have a Sedici but your DPF does not look like it's been tampered with. All the welds appear to be the same age and quality indicating they are from manufacture.

The DPF warning light only comes on if you have to keep driving to complete a regeneration. Normally it should not come on when driving. See

Does it come on when you switch the ignition on and then go off when you start the engine? If so and the car does not smoke from the exhaust you should be OK.
