Technical sedici , engine light on, limp mode .

Hello all. Hoping for a few ideas on this one. The engine light is always on but on starting , it drives fine with full power for about 5 miles, then into limp mode, about half power. Then after stopping even for just a minute and setting off again the power is back but again , just for 5 miles and back into limp mode. Has been force regenerated a couple of times which seems to work for a few thousand miles, then back to this. Hope you have some ideas. Many thanks.

Need to have a diagnostic check and find out what fault code is stored. Could be DPF blocked. Do you do lots of short journeys?

At least once a week it gets 100miles , the rest is trips of 10 miles. Live out in the sticks , so not much in town. Booked in to mechanic monday so will see what the diagnostic says. Thanks for the reply.

have you got any service lights on.., ?
oil changes with DPF can be a bit odd - you have to reset parameters in the ECU

where abouts are you / the car based..??
