hi . I have now my car from new and it don't start the other day. Flat battery! so changed for a new one and now the car won't start at all. everything else works on the car when the keys are turn to the first "click". dash lights radio wipers lights , etc etc.
but when I turn the keys to start the car there is nothing! no clicking nothing. and the starter does not even take a turn.
so anybody got any ideas where to start to fix the problem. !!:bang:

Hi, i don't really have much of an idea on these matters but i suppose it could be a fuse or a disconnected (or broken) wire to the starter motor? Is there anything else that you noticed wasn't working after the battery swap?

no every thing else works fine. have checked for broken wires and un-connected wires and every thing is plugged in correctly. a mate is bringing a tool to plug in to the car to see if something else is wrong. !!

hi,:)
that's a bit weird ..why / how did the other battery fail..??

double check that;

1, key symbol / immobiliser - self-tests..then goes off

2, fuel pump under rearseat runs for 5 to 10 seconds when ignition is at MAR

ideally do this with BOTH coded keys..,

sounds like an imobilizer problem. A friend of mine took his battery of his car to charge it { a hyundi }and he had triggered the imobilizer and had to call out the AA to reset it to start it
