Mine is a 1.9 diesel multijet 2007. Anyone know what type of OBD cable is needed? I am thinking of getting an OBD <-> USB cable, and using the free multiecuscan software.

I have a 2008 1.9 diesel multijet and use multiecuscan with a cable/adapter similar to this one on eBay. If you search for something like "ELM327 OBD2" on eBay you will find lots of other sellers.
