I have an 08 sedici 1.6 petrol and the front brakes scream and screach under gentle braking and if I add more pressure to thebrake pedal you can here a growl like the pads are shot !The cars only done 8k from new .The car was bought in march 2010 from the car people with test drive mileage on it (3 miles)story is it was one of 500 units bought in and registered in 2008 by fiat but left in an old RAF hanger for storage ;BASICALLY PAID HALF PRICE FOR IT.
Been under the car before I bought it to make sure it hadnt spent 2 year up to its sills in water befor being sold on. All is clean with no rust issues and all rubber gators and bushes look like new.
Could the the front pads have absorbed moistor and started to brake bown after being stood for so long . By the way the starter motor shot its load at only 100 miles and was replaced by fiat wakefield with a recon one !
Is the mpg correct as I get about 360 miles before the the fuel light comes one.(7.5ltrs per 100km)
I have used 99 octane and had it down to 6.5ltrs but dont know if the extra cost per litre is worth it though till I crunch the figures.
any Advice would be great .
