Dear friends, I just bought a brand new SEDICI and the clutch died on me after my first 39km!!! (a total of 54 km since the car had 15km when I bought it). I towed the car back to the dealer and after inspection they found out that the clutch was all worn out. Now they want me to pay for the hole amount of €870 OR if I pay half the amount, I’ll have to sign that I have no further demands from them! Any ideas on what I should do? I have to mention that it is all happening in Greece!!
Thanks, Thanos

Thats not normal for a clutch (obviously). Only way for a clutch to wear that fast is driven with abuse and then the vehicles odometer reset. So maybe it has more KM's on it than the car says?

Not sure about your consumer laws but here in the UK you'd be well within your rights to reject the car claiming it "not fit for purpose" and get a full replacement / refund.

Guys!! We are talking 35 kilometers. Bought it one afternoon, got home, next morning to work and on the way home....dead!! It is a rip-off. Is there an Oficial FIAT site to post my complain? You should see the clutch disk (too bad I can't post pictures off my PC), there is just the thin metal part that is between the pads and the rest is scuttered all around the place like thin hair....

Oh, blimey, I thought you meant thousand... thats truely rediculous.

In the UK you could take the car back for a full refund or replacement, if its already done that I`d be getting a full refund.

I dont know the legal situation over there but you should get onto customer services & go mad at them, threatening to return the car & see what they say...

They might even swap it for a higher spec model.
