My bravo atm has got central locking. im guessing that if i get an alarm it shudnt cost much more to have it connected to the locking system to make it remote as all the motors and everything are there already.

am i correct in thinking this or am i guna have to fork out loads more for an extra kit todo it?

Cheers
Adam

Yeah, it would work like that. In the Brio catalogue you can either just get a remote locking addon that costs £70
They have a meta alarm system that does this as well £155 for the one that will work on the brava/o
Also a thatcham rated one at £176

hope that helps

the majority of alarms have a central locking interface not just the Fiat supplied ones

Met Cognac 99 Brava 100 HSX,

ok so there are 2 wires from my alarm (cheeta pro 2), one called -ve lock pulse and one called -ve lock pulse, which wires should i attach these to so my central locking locks and unlocks when i arm.disarm the alarm? i have a 96 brava s.

wouldn't those wires be connected to one of the front lock motors? there's no real central locking switch, only the lock pin

i have the same problem...i have a 2 month old punto but fitted an alarm in myself it cost me £76 brand new and came with the central locking thingy built in and it will autolock etc but the 2 wires that i connected to the central locking worked ok but the wires got a bit hot so i disconected them...so i need to know where the 2 pulse wires go to..the ones i used were coming from the drivers door and are very thin all was ok but i could not lock the whole car from inside from the drivers door and the fiat dealer said my car has a "body computer " in it...so whatever that is. but the car all locked for the remote fob but the wires got a bit hot.so if you solved the problem please let me knoe the colours of the wires and there location.....thanks in advance....ps...the car alarm i bought from e bay is called a cheetah....complete with micro window protectors and very bright blue/red led's..nice alarm..but the dam wires to the c/l.... :bang:
