I have the brio book and have seen the META M871/M15 with ultrasonic sensors. It looks like it covers all the bases and at £155 i am contemplating.

What has been your experience of this particular brand/fiat standard or should i seek another brand. I am under the impression Fiat should take care of their cars and thus it would be a good idea to have them fit one.

Please post back as soon as, because i want to ensure my toys are safe if u know what i mean

Did you have the fish? No...I ate it.

personally i view anything dealer fit as overpriced.look around and see about a thatcham approved alarm.also phone your insurer and find out about any alarms they give discounts for,if you get a discount you can spend more on the alarm

I've had Meta in my last two motors and had no complaints at all.

Best advice is to steer clear of the one in the Brio book as unless things have changed, it ain't Thatcham approved to will make fook all difference to the insurance.

If you have already fot a Cat 2 immobiliser then look for an upgrade unit such as the Meta M99T2 which will set you back about £200 fitted and will give you the all important VSIB certificate for getting any discounts your insuer may be offering.

I got a sigma s4 for not much more when you add in the cost of fitting - fiat quoted me 400 quid to fit the meta. My alarm comes with free servicing and warranty and has much more functionality than the meta. (y)

I have been fitting Meta alarms for 10 years & have never had a faulty one in all that time.Only thing is some of the fitting instructions are bit vague in places.Whatever you choose make sure you get a signed certificate from a approved installer, one copy of which gets sent to your insurance company.
What car are you fitting it to? if it's a Stilo you have to run wires into the drivers door.
