ok, ive just bought a scudo van 2001 model and the keys turn in the drivers door and both sliding doors, they do unlock eventually wen u push the key into the lock firmly but im not happy leaving it like this. whats the best option? get new keys cut or buy new barrels and key set off ebay? Is it just the key at fault or does it need a whole new barrel? Really would appreciate any help.

To me that sounds like its the barrels that are messed up, your best bet would be to get new barrels and keys but the only problem would be that you need 1 key to unlock everything and another key to actually start the van so not sure what you wanna do

are barrels easy to fit or is it a garage job?

im not too sure tbh but theres a few people on here that have done it before so i dont think its that hard but if you dont feel confident enough then id take it to a garage because you dont wanna start a job like that then not finish it and have to leave it un-locked over night

ok, first thing to do is get a none chipped key cut to code. This means its not traced from your worn key but cut to the original key code so it will be the same as it was when it came out of the factory.
If that dosnt work, look at the locks.

Good luck.
