Hi Guys,

I just brought my Fiat Punto 1999 (T Reg, petrol)......

With it I only received a blue key, The car was fine untill this morning My Dad got in it to move the car forward and the alarm went off and now keeps going off when I open the car (even though it is only for a minute). I've been reading up about red keys being the master, Where would it be possible to get one of these? At the moment it keeps coming up with a sign with a key and "code" written underneath it. I am assuming that this is to do with the immobliser.

My questions are....

1. Do I need a Red key?
2. Is there a way to stop the alarm with just my blue key?
3. As I do not have a manual how would I dissconnect the immobiliser?
4. Looks like I need to remove my battery to charge it, will this Immobilise the car when I replace it?!!

Please can you help me as I am really stuck as this is my first car Im not completely sure what do!! Any help would be amazing......!!:)

a sticky is a locked thread, a thread that may benefit more than one member, examples of stickies include common problems with car, and car models and revisions during cars production run.

In a way they try and stop people asking same q's over and over but new people do anyway
