Hey guys,
Well ive just fitted an after market alarm to a 1.4 bravo, the only thing i just cant for the life of me sort out is the damn central locking to lock and unlock, there are 4 main wires 2 for unlock and 2 for the feed for the negative as hopefully im right by saying its a negative type activator?
It already has key activated central locking, ive found 2 wires blue and white that activate the locking when you put one or other to a negative but as soon as you try it hooked up to the alarm with a fob, nothing!
everything else works, just the locking.
any advice would be greatly recieved. maybe ive the wrong wires or something?

Cheers

Stu

its odd, maybe the alarm is faulty or something, the 2 yellow wires should be grounded then the other 2 should be the lock and unlock but it does nothing when you press the button on the remote.

Me and my dad had a spot of bother fitting mine to my scudo (differant alarm but same principle). You might find you have postive lock but negative unlock - good luck in working that one out!

We tested mine by running a jump cable from the battery to each of the central locking wires in my door - this way we found the right order to wire in the alarm, if you've got a multimeter check that you get volts from the alarm when you blip the fob, my alaram had several in line fuses which tripped us up as one had blown. Good luck!

Found out the trouble, decided to take a nosey inside the alarm box, one of the contacts on the board had shorted, joined it back up and the central locking is working now :)
all thats left to do now is get a transponder bypass and then i'll have remote start too :D
