just bought a microscan 2/3 wire fit compact 1000 car alarm.. i have got the jist of it but anyone know were some of the wires go, i dont know were to connect them....

there are 4 wires

red that connects to a 12+ volt constant supply.. (dont get)
brown that connects to a negative instant trigger.. (dont get)
black that connects to ground wire.. (dont get)
blue that connect to the red led wire (this i know) and a black on the led that connect to the ground again....

any help people i dont really know were to connect these wires....

thanks

black should just be n earth wire so any earth on your car and the door trigger wire would be to the interior light switch

ok thats the easy one, would the door trigger switch be the red one...

just on more then, the brown....

ok i got the red wire sorted into the interior light and have the earth wire done too.... its just the brown i have no clue...

I fitted a cobra alarm into my uno so have a good idea here..

red that connects to a 12+ volt constant supply..
This goes to the battery + terminal

brown that connects to a negative instant trigger..
This goes to a switch that will be earthed when an action occurs.
For example:
A simple "door open" switch would have one wire, +12v, when the switch makes contact, it touches earth and completes the circuit.

So you could try putting this wire to the input side of your door switches.

Or you could connect everything up, and then just touch this wire to earth and see if it triggers the alarm.

black that connects to ground wire..
Any vehicle earth, or better still the - terminal on battery

blue that connect to the red led wire (this i know) and a black on the led that connect to the ground again....
Yes, this will just flash an LED

If you still haven't got this sorted give us a shout or whatever.
I just wanted to add:
If you are serious about this doing anything to secure your vehicle, at least position it well out of view behind the dashboard.
Thatcham standards actually make your run the wiring hidden with the main vehicle loom and all sorts, so just make sure its not easy to "snip" the wiring.
