Is anyone else using a Disklok to cover their steering wheel? It's a sound piece of security but I've found it leaves yellow paint in the leather grain of the steering wheel. Even worse, continuous use has meant that where the hinge covers the wheel, it has cuased a few tears in the leather. To anyone who buys one of these I would recommend covering the inside of the device with insulation tape.

Sounds like good advice.

I am currently using one of

. But I got mine from Index as my g/f gets staff discount :D They're exactly the same, as far as I can tell.

I was a little concerned that the clamp that goes over the steering wheel arm would scratch the leather, but it seems OK

Hi
Recently bought the silver disklok but unable to use it due to it sounding the horn off on my abarth.

Also i can imagine without cover, it would damage the steering wheel.
I need to check if i can return it, as it was bought online.

If anyone is interested in buying it, i will let you have it half price

i have one of these that i use on my Punto HGT.
it has scratched the steering wheel rim because i was not carefull putting it on. i dont know if anyone else has noticed this but on the inside rim of the disklok it has a sharp edge at the 12 o'clock position. this caused the scratch on me wheel. i thought they would have smoothed these edges off, it did cost £80 after all.

I use the stoplock, never tried a disclock, but can relate to the scratching the wheel issue.

The stoplock i have has made a few indents, and scraped the leather a fair bit. I get little black bits on my hands after i drive :(

Another day...another problem...
