Posts: 1 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | ![]() Hi All Recently purchased a 2003 Scudo 1.9 and it has a problem with diesel knock and white smoke. In general it drives ok but when i accelerate hard i get quite a bit white smoke and diesel knock, once i back off everything goes back to normal. If i ease the speed up to 70mph it's fine but if i give it more acceleration the issue happens again. What should i be looking at first ? TIA ![]()

![]() | Re: Diesel Knock and white smoke Know your smoke colours: Black - too much fuel Blue - Burning oil White - Coolant or water Are the coolant levels dropping with no obvious leaks? If so, you may have a gasket failure or some other way that water/coolant is finding it's way into the engine. If not, then moisture is building up in there some other way.
