Harpic - take a wire from the positive side of the battery. Run it around to the starter motor for tapping onto the Solenoid of the starter - do not attempt to replace the power feed to the starter motor, just the solenoid.
Turn on the ignition, go under the bonnet and touch the new wire on the solenoid feed. It will turn over for sure.
If it starts ( mine did as normal) feel smug as a bug.
No then, all you have to do is trace backwards where the break is.
Mine was the last connection before the ring crimp on the solenoid.
Cut and remade. No further issues.
