My Wabco air suspension threw "Suspension faulty" last week and the car was tilting in the back so I decided to see what it was all about.
I started leaktesting and found rapidly that the pump/valve assembly was leaking badly, especially on the side that tilted. But over all it was leaking on all ports. I disassembled the compressor head and found that the head gasket had not sealed properly and there was alumium oxide inside the compressor and towards the valve bridge. I guess the alumium dust is what made the valves leak.
Leak testing of the bags and the extra tank showed no leaks at all.
I have now replaced the compressor/valve assembly and powered up the system. But no luck. The pump does not start and still have the "Suspension faulty" error code.
Is there a reset needed for the system to start operating again? If so, how do I go about doing that reset?
Any advice is appreciated. Cheers from Sweden!
