Size matters

Hi good Fiat people,

My much loved Scudo combi (56 plate) is no more
I have spent the last few weeks of lockdown endlessly searching a suitable van online but cannot gauge the size of the rear area.

I measured the Scudo floor space and it was 5ft x 7ft (give or take an inch) yet when I convert that to mm for comparison with other vehicles its supposed to match a Transit Connect and the like. I find this very hard to believe and without getting out there with a tape measure I cannot prove it.
